Firestone Coil Rite Air Helper Springs Installation - 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe

Today, on our 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs for the rear axle, part number F4170. Here's what they look like once they're installed. As you can see, they're going to fit inside your coil spring. These are going to help support your loads up to 500 pounds, but it's not going to increase the load capacity of your vehicle so you want to make sure you want to still stay within your manufacture's specifications for what your vehicle's able to haul. Going to have one hole to drill. It's going to be through where jounce bumper originally mounted to allow our air line to come out. The bag is going to squeeze in between your springs, and you'll just run your lines to the back of your vehicle. You'll have separate airing ports so if you have a vehicle sling to one side with your load on it, you can have it up on that one side and level your vehicle out, therefore improving your handling and your ride. Now, we've went ahead and loaded up our vehicle on our cargo carrier about 300 pounds. more

Firestone Coil Rite Air Helper Springs Installation - 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe

Today on our 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs, part number F4170. These air springs provide stability while driving and reduce strain on your vehicle suspension. Let's go ahead and go through the test course with some weight, the alternating bumps show that our new airbags really give us good controlled response. Finally we will finish with the solid speed bumps, which show the up and down action to simulate a parking garage or coming out of a driveway. Let's go ahead and see how it's installed. First thing we're going to in the installation of our new airbag, our air helper spring, is going to be to raise up the vehicle so that way the rear suspension hangs freely. Now to give yourself a little bit of more play, in between the coils up here we're going to undo the shock with a three quarter inch bolt located there. Now for safety if you have the vehicle raised up off the ground like we do, we're going to place a jack stand underneath here to assist us in lifting it and lowering it to remove that shock. more
